Evora IPS

The Evora is also available with Intelligent Precision Shift, a six speed automatic gearbox with Lotus developed transmission control.

When driving the Evora IPS, you can now choose between seamless automatic gear changes or full, tactile engagement via the lightening fast, steering wheel mounted paddle shifts. In automatic, gear shifts are biased towards refinement, and shifting points are automatically selected to optimise refinement and fuel economy. Evora IPS also offers an optional "Sport" mode producing quicker and more pronounced gear shifts as well as optimising shift points for performance.

In the Evora, you won't want to take your hands off the wheel; but in the Evora IPS,  you won't have to!
